In this Stopknappen talk/workshop we pursue the idea of a 5% centralised and fully automated, electronic financial transaction tax and removal of all deductions and moms as a replacement for personal and company taxes.

There are many interesting topics to be discussed, such as financial savings, employment impact and behavioural changes. How to credibly document that such a taxation model can deliver the same tax income to the state as we have in our current system. Possibilities for fraud. And much more.

A desired outcome of this meeting is also to form a workgroup on taxation and have a clear list of actions to move forward with.

Themed talks

The purpose of the themed talks is to find and develop potentially missing pieces and, not least, to establish a credible documentation base for each of the Stopknappen framework topics. While the talks are focused on Stopknappen, Startknappen aspects will naturally be covered, in what we hope to be very nuanced and multi perspective, lightly guided talk.

Stopknappen

Stopknappen is a new framework for society. It defines a new democratic state, where stress and financial pressure has been replaced with freedom of choice – and time to act on it. The framework has been designed to enable us to take a big (but not too big) leap forward in societal evolution and enable us to respond properly to the current threats to our known existence (climate change, pollution, inequality, refugees, armed conflicts, corruption, automation, etc). The framework recognizes the potential of the individual as well as the collective from which we thrive. It takes a holistic approach to rearrange our current society and unfold it’s full potential.

Startknappen

Startknappen is the actual implementation of the framework in the state of Denmark. The what, when and where of Stopknappen. It uses the framework as a blueprint and ideological inspiration to create a crowdsourced Denmark 4.0. implementable now.

About the host

‘I believe that the competitive society model is inhibiting innovation. When winning is the primary goal, we all lose. If we are to overcome the burdens ahead, we need to work together and share our knowledge. We need to dare to do things differently.’

Martin is co-founder of think.dk and describes himself as Ideologue, developer, writer and (r)evolutionary in spe. His need to challenge the norm precedes his sense of obedience - and for him, the Stopknappen framework was the main driver to create think.dk.
