PHP (recursive acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML.

In this first of four PHP sessions, we will be looking at the PHP syntax and how it differs from JavaScript. We will befriend ourselves with PHP variables, objects, conditionals, loops and functions.

After the presentation, we will have an open table discussion about PHP.
