How much freedom can we grant our children? Is it in the nature of humans to learn? And where would we be today, if we hadn't gone to school?
The current education system is one of the core issues we investigate at think.dk, and the working group we started on this topic is slowly taking up pace. We want to give anyone interested some background and a basis to join the discussion.
Being and Becoming explores the choice not to school ones children, to trust them and to let them learn freely what they are passionate about. Through four countries, the US, Germany (where it's illegal not to go to school), France and the UK, the film is a truth quest about the natural desire to learn.
After the screening there is room for questions and to have an open discussion. We will present some of the latest developments on the topic since the movie was published and look forward to hear your opinions!
