The ability to act in the face of inner resistance and do hard things consistently is a crucial skill to master. When we have not decided what to do - our emotions will make us do something. If we are dealing with resistance to doing hard things - and any act of ambitious creation will be hard at times - our emotions will try and divert our attention and efforts.

"80 percent of success is just showing up"
—Woody Allen

To master something persistent effort is crucial. To push to the heart of the matter and find an original solution is essential in innovation. To endure the discomfort to keep going when the going gets tough. Or to find a way to embrace and enjoy the tough moments and stay in the game is going to make a huge difference in our life.

Staying in the wrong game too long when it does not serve us as human beings is the shadow of having persistence and the ability to work hard.

“A person's success in life can usually be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have.”
- Tim Ferriss
